The role

We are looking for an experienced Estimating Manager to join our team and lead the electrical estimation function acting as a key contact for the wider commercial team ensuring the quotation process supports the business strategy drives sustainable growth and enhances brand reputation.

An idea of what youll be doing:
  • You will be leading the estimation team including allocating workloads and maintaining committed deadlines.

  • You will be identifying knowledge gaps and opportunities for professional development.

  • You will be supporting the team through effective line management including 121s and appraisals in line with our people centred HR policies.

  • You will drive performance and costeffectiveness through monitoring KPIs in alignment with business wide objectives ensuring effective delivery of their core responsibilities with a high level of focus resulting in a dynamic processdriven and results orientated function.

  • You will be managing internal team processes EG quotation process and data entry on business systems.

  • You will be preparing basic and detailed tenders COMA / maintenance contracts and sales contracts ensuring adherence to lawestablished rules and guidelines.

  • You will manage the approval process of quotes up to 200k before they are sent to clients and deciding quote / no quote process.


Requirements

When you join you will go through our topnotch induction and onboarding process and have opportunities to develop further through our inhouse training academy.




Youll have a proven track record of:

  • Building strong and collaborative relationships with both internal and external clients and supplier counterparts.
  • Experience in delivering results through strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Establishing key aspects associated with client requirements providing quotations liaising with internal departments and submitting final overview of project ability to the client
  • Working business systems to follow company processes and maintain data integrity.
Youll already have experience & qualifications in:
  • Full UK driving license (Maximum of 3 points)

  • Degree level qualification in a relevant field

  • Strong market knowledge and experience within the electrical distribution sector both HV and LV.

  • Experience of tendering for O&M contracts and private networks.

  • Experience of establishing strategic and operational partnerships.

  • Wide experience of handling complex and sensitive business / commercial informationboth internally and externally. in confidence.

  • Demonstrative experience in project management and process improvement
