About the Profile

We are seeking a pragmatic detailoriented and experienced Enterprise Data Architect.

The ideal person will have expertise in a range of data analytics and integration technologies with an immediate focus on cloud data platforms integration technologies and data science concepts. As an Enterprise Data Architect you will be responsible for the development of our customers Data Strategy using architectural frameworks as well as defining highlevel operating models and governance frameworks for managing the Data Architecture.

You will be a trusted client advisor responsible for defining how Data fits into the wider Business and Technology Architectures which exist whilst also offering future transformational state architectures.

You will be expected to lead the shaping of existing customer strategies as well as deliver solution designs across hybrid (onpremise and cloud) ecosystems shaping our propositions and services supporting sales activities delivering client engagements leading teams (on/near / far shore) and manage crossfunctional client staff and stakeholders in a variety of contexts predominantly in the Public Services sector Central Government.


Functions:

  • Engaging with Customers to understand requirements for defining their strategy.
  • Defining and creating data strategies and roadmaps.
  • Defining current mode of operation (CMO) transition mode of operation (TMO) and future mode of operation (FMO) state architectures.
  • Generating Conceptual and/or HighLevel Design to support data architectures.
  • Working with vendors and suppliers and reviewing provided designs.
  • Leading Data Architecture Engagements and promoting Frameworks where necessary.
  • Defining endtoend Data Architectures.
  • Leading and developing architecture teams.
  • Joining the dots between Business Technology and Data architectures.
  • Input into the shaping of Data Architecture engagements.
  • Deliver Data Architecture engagements with/ for our clients.
  • Understand Data Science and how it operates in the cloud including Trusted Research Environment concepts.
  • Understand data streaming from sources such as IoT.
  • Remain up to date with the regular changes in the Data Technologies and ensure that this knowledge is made available to the wider Data & Intelligence practice.

    Requirements:

    • Deep and proven experience in defining developing and managing data architectures in large and complex organisations and enterprise architectures.
    • Comfortable developing and shaping the architectural vision.
    • Ability to operate in demanding situations whilst still having relentless drive to deliver with enthusiasm.
    • Proven expertise in data science concepts tools as well as data modelling and reference data architectures.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect organise analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Proficient experience with data architecture and modelling tools such as Sparx Erwin and Archi.
    • Experience with consultingled sales.
    • Experience in Financial Services sector.
    • Deep handson experience of relational and dimensional data modelling.
