We are seeking an Engineering Technician to support a leading global consumer electronics company in Edina MN.
This is an onsite position open to local candidates.
Must be able to work evenings and weekends travel overnight for business and potentially extend business travel for 12 months as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision assist experienced technicians with the installation repair calibration and maintenance of semiconductor process equipment in a manner which minimizes equipment down time.
- Monitor inspect and maintain semiconductor equipment in order to prevent and minimize malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activity and provide periodic reports.
- Monitor the stock level of service parts and equipment to ensure adequate inventory is available for repair work. Order and replace parts
- Participate in technical training.
- Troubleshoot install and repair high vacuum equipment including PVD and etching systemsIdentify analyze and repair product failures.
- Train Field Service Engineers and customer technicians on equipment usage and maintenance.
- Develop and implement training plan for each FSE and customer technician.
Requirements
Education:
- HS diploma or equivalent (required).
Required:
- 12 years of related experience.
- 1 year of related experience on semiconductor vacuum equipment (PVD CVD RIE Ultrahigh vacuum systems IBE/IBD and vacuum robot systems).
- Experience assisting technicians with semiconductor process equipment installation repair calibration and maintenance.
- Knowledge and experience with semiconductor vacuum equipment including PVD CVD RIE Ultrahigh vacuum systems IBE/IBD and vacuum robot systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot install and repair high vacuum equipment such as PVD and etching systems.
Preferred:
- Experience working with highly complex multichamber systems in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
