We are seeking a leadership and product-focused Engineering Lead to join our onboarding & activation tribe.

About the product

The onboarding and activation tribe helps our customers to get onto our platform and start using it. On the onboarding side, this includes activities like capturing customers master data, video ident, KYC, and underwriting credit lines. As for activation, this means that our customers can invite and manage their employees, explore our product modules and start spending on our platform.

About the team

The onboarding & activation tribe is no different. Leading the engineers in the team you will work closely with product, design, and customer excellence to deliver a market-leading onboarding experience.

About the role

As a member of the leadership team of our engineering, product, and design department (EPD), this position is 80% Product and People focused, with the remaining 20% focusing on hands-on work where needed (i.e. contributing to design discussions, and evaluating code). You will:

  • Manage and lead the engineers in your tribe. This includes topics such as growth and development, performance evaluation, feedback and management, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Ensure that the right people are working on the right tasks and have everything they need to build our product.
  • Spar with your team to discuss design and architecture and help to take the right technical decisions.
  • See that the tribe s goals are aligned with the company s objectives.
  • Define and develop the team s plans together with the product lead, and ultimately be accountable for the delivery of those plans.

About You

  • You have successfully managed, coached, and mentored a team of engineers. You know how to listen and build trust. You also know how to lead and make hard decisions.
  • You understand software architecture and design, and you feel comfortable sparring on those topics with other engineers
  • You have a proven track record of delivering best-in-class products in ideally, a Tier 1 financial services company (e.g. investment banking, private equity, VC, etc.) or in a fast-growing start-up leading FP&A efforts.
  • You know your way around data and SQL and you are using data to make better decisions.
  • Excellent English skills
