Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develop low voltage power electronics designs for application Electronic Control Units in line with customer platform strategy
  • Lead customer interface for ECU including status reporting open issue tracking timeline management and escalation management
  • Analyze and manage customer change requests relating to electrical hardware understanding customer needs and execution feasibility
  • Understand product design including simulations component selection schematic design thermal concept Design to Cost and Design for Manufacturing
  • Provide input into development of design justification/Worst Case Circuit Analysis to validate design selection
  • Support design for functional safety and support Functional Safety engineer on all Electronic Control Unit related tasks including FTA & FMEDA
  • Support release electrical hardware design outputs from ECAD tools according to company processes and facilitate customer releases
  • Debug electrical hardware products in the lab through commissioning testing diagnosing and inspection through development life cycle
  • Analyze link and distribute customer requirements to the electrical hardware design and test team
  • Lead development and change management of Design Failure Modes Effects and Analysis of Electronic Control Units down to the component level
  • Follow company and customer standards for hardware Engineering and interface processes according to the V Model
  • Interface with Electrical hardware test teams and collaborate on development of End of Line specification according to customer requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master s Degree preferred)
  • Three years of experience in electronics hardware design and layout for automotive applications preferably in powertrain or chassis
  • Ability to support at customer site as needed
  • Ability to travel 5%10% of time ay external labs and other internal facilities globally
  • Experience performing worst case circuit analysis
  • Understanding of automotive and functional safety development processes
  • Excellent communication teamwork and leadership skills
  • Independent worker who takes the initiative
  • Collaboration Product Safety (Design Specific) Risk Management
  • Communication Skills Problem Solving Project Management
