Position: Electrical/Controls Engineer

Location: Mountville PA

Duration: Contract

Shift: Day Shift 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a 104 Schedule (working for ten days then having four days off)

Job Description:

What You Do In This Role:

• Participates in the design of semicomplex systems that integrate hardware and software.
• Write PLC code for semicomplex systems utilizing standard practices.
• Provides support in semicomplex material specification schematic preparation billofmaterials development and appropriate followup.
• Participates in recommending ideas related to productivity improvement cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.
• Independently run semicomplex projects through the project life cycle including all design documentation and forecasting.
• Assist in complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design.
• Troubleshoot programming and electrical issues that arise on site.
• Interact directly with the customer on site.

What We Are Looking For:

• Current handson experience with Programmable Logic Controllers. Expertise with Allen Bradley Schneider Unity or Siemens TIA Portal preferred.
• Must demonstrate a working understanding of design layout and use of current networks such as Profibus ASi and Ethernet.
• Experience in writing descriptions of operations and developments of controls based physical layouts is expected.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage numerous opportunities and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Current experience with the rigors of onsite startup/commissioning.
• Experience with material handling systems is preferred.
• 48 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of responsibilities as presented above.
• Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience where applicable
• Bachelors Degree or equal in a related discipline
