The Electrical Maintenance Technician will:

  • Perform regular and preventative maintenance on installed electromechanical equipment and effectively troubleshoot complex problems associated with electromechanical machinery and systems.

  • Analyze test results machine error messages and information obtained from operators to diagnose and repair.

  • Be a valued member of the maintenance team interacting with production industrial maintenance and crossfunctionally to ensure reliability of equipment service safety and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three plus years electrical maintenance experience in heavy industrial environment.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with industrial electronics AC/DC theory power transmission test instruments and instrumentation VFDs PLCs ladder logic relay logic hydraulic and pneumatic systems motor controls and electrical construction.

  • Ability to install troubleshoot and maintain a wide variety of industrial equipment using schematic diagrams and equipment manuals as guides.

  • Demonstrated commitment to safe working behaviors including lockout fall protection confined space and mobile equipment operation.

  • Great teamwork problemsolving organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship Journeyman Certification or equivalent work experience.

  • Steel industry experience.

  • Welding and light fabrication experience.

  • Experience with industrial communication networks (Profibus Profinet Ethernet).

  • Experience with Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control loops and combustion controls.

  • Basic understanding of mechanical devices.

  • Strong communication skills and familiarity working in a teambased environment.

  • Safety awareness training.

Additional Details:

  • Great schedule work 1/2 the nights of the year in this fulltime position on a 5225 schedule (6pm 6am on a 5 on 2 off 2 on 5 off schedule)
