Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Location: Littleton CO

Job Type: FullTime

Summary:

Analysis Design and commissioning of protective relays excitation and/or generator protection systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute develop and validate relay protection programs.
  • Aid in the upkeep and examination of generator excitation systems protective relays and auxiliary equipment.
  • Contribute to electrical modeling for NERC PRC and MOD studies.
  • Engage in educational initiatives.
  • Compose detailed trip reports outlining system and device failures along with actions taken. Collaborate with the Design Engineering group to review system issues and solutions.
  • Journey to customer locations for system startup and maintenance and to offer guidance on equipment installation upkeep or repair accounting for 30% of total work time. The remaining office hours will be dedicated to engineering analysis and design.
  • Fulfill other assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • Hold a B.S.E.E. degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Candidates with interest in utility/power plant experience and an Electrical Engineering degree are preferred. Familiarity with PSS/e SKM ETAP and/or EASYPOWER is advantageous.
  • Travel to customer sites for relay commissioning startup or maintenance guiding equipment installation maintenance or repair.
  • Possess proficient computer skills.
