InfraHire is looking for a Sr. Electrical Engineer in NY NY.
Job Description:
- Generate calculations for feeders services short circuit analysis and transformer sizing.
- Create designs for the electrical distribution fire alarm and security systems within buildings.
- Conduct onsite surveys of current electrical equipment.
- Establish schedules and project details reviewing them with the project engineer.
- Participate in job meetings as necessary. Facilitate information flow between different disciplines.
- Contribute to the writing of reports and feasibility studies.
- Support the development of electrical standards.
- Create cost estimates and specifications.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in the design of electrical power distribution infrastructure fire alarm systems as well as both interior and exterior lighting systems along with lighting controls.
- Demonstrated knowledge encompasses areas such as short circuit analysis arc flash coordination interior and exterior lighting design and photometric calculations.
- A background in commercial and healthcare facilities is highly desirable.
- Holding a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Familiarity with relevant codes including those related to energy conservation.
- Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) designation with an essential requirement of EngineerinTraining (EIT) certification.
- LEED accreditation is a plus.
- Proficiency in Revit design software with a minimum of 1 year of formal design application experience.
