Our client is a mechanical and electrical engineering consulting business based in Anchorage Alaska. We work as both a prime consultant and a subconsultant on large and small projects ranging from commercial to retail institutional and government. The customer has more than 26 years of expertise delivering technical solutions for Alaskas tough arctic and subarctic settings.

Job Description:

We are looking for a creative imaginative and qualityfocused individual to join our team as an Electrical Engineer (EIT) with zero to five years of experience. The ideal applicant should be an enthusiastic team player.
This role will help our team provide customers with diversified and technically complex electrical and communications system designs for commercial institutional military and industrial projects across Alaska. The successful applicant will work directly with licensed professional engineers to provide training support and mentorship.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications Include:

  • Demonstrates capacity to work on several projects under supervision.
  • Education requirements include a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline from an approved college or university an Engineer in Training credential (EIT) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. Exam
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Desire to learn and collaborate with a group of experts
  • Requirements: 05 years of electrical design experience in the AEC sector as well as familiarity with Microsoft Office software.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Previous experience with an engineering/consulting business or construction firm.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Experience with the National Electrical Code.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering and building procedures.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Attention to detail honesty and personal pride in a job well done.
  • The ambition and willingness to master the most recent technology and methods to advance your professional career
