Electrical Design Engineer

Role Overview:We are seeking an exceptionally detailoriented Senior Electrical Systems Designer with a proven track record in precision modeling of complex electrical systems. In this role you will be an integral part of our diverse team of architects manufacturing engineers and industrial designers contributing to the design development and validation of prefabricated MEP components.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize advanced 3D modeling software (Revit or Catia) to design intricate building electrical systems to a fabrication level of detail.
• Produce detailed shop drawings and comprehensive bill of materials for electrical fire alarm and low voltage systems.
• Create work instructions and assembly drawings for customers including suppliers of combined products and internal modular assembly processes.
• Collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical system components into overall building projects.
• Apply expertise in systems design to innovate and improve existing electrical solutions.
• Maintain rigorous attention to detail in all aspects of work from planning to execution.
• Assist in defining product requirements standardized data sheets and specifications.
• Develop test criteria for data sheets and inclusion in work instructions.
• Support Supply Chain in developing qualifying criteria for vendor bid sheets.
• Review shop drawings and submittals received from suppliers and fabricators.
• Research innovative materials connections and processes staying informed about industry trends and code changes.

Requirements:

• Degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience with a focus on subcontractor roles in building component coordination and detailing of means & methods.
• Proficient in advanced 3D modeling software for electrical systems design (Revit or Catia).
• Experience in modular construction or prefabrication.
• Strong leadership written & verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with building codes regulations and a commitment to examining designs against relevant jurisdictional constraints.
• Previous experience in mid to highrise multifamily projects or largescale facilities.
• Creative problemsolving skills in addressing technical challenges inherent in modular construction.
