MakeInIndia EV Start up which is involved in designing developing and manufacturing of EV components like Electric Motor Drive Converter and OBD Power Electronic Design and solutions. The company is founded by four young founders who are serial entrepreneurs and successful professionals with more than 14 years of corporate experience in various roles and capacities and hailing from India s top premier institutions like NITs and IIMs / SPJain / IIFT.

Role
We are seeking a talented Electric Motor Design Engineer to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electric motor design and possess strong proficiency in ANSYS SolidWorks AutoCAD and FEA analysis. This individual will play a key role in the design development and optimization of electric motors for various applications leveraging advanced simulation and modeling techniques to achieve superior performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of electric motors from concept to production ensuring compliance with performance efficiency and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize ANSYS SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create detailed 3D models drawings and simulations of motor components and assemblies.
  • Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) simulations to evaluate structural thermal and electromagnetic performance of motor designs optimizing for efficiency and reliability.
  • Perform electromagnetic simulations using ANSYS Maxwell or similar software to analyze magnetic field distribution flux density and torque characteristics of motor designs.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including electrical engineers mechanical engineers and manufacturing specialists to integrate motor designs into larger systems and products.
  • Generate technical documentation including design specifications reports and test plans to communicate design concepts analyses and results.
  • Participate in design reviews providing expertise and recommendations to enhance motor performance manufacturability and costeffectiveness.
  • Stay current with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in electric motor design contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
  • Support prototype builds and testing activities analyzing performance data and implementing design modifications as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns sharing knowledge and providing guidance on electric motor design principles simulation techniques and software tools.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 36 years of experience in motor design with a focus on brushless DC (BLDC) motors permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) or similar technologies.
  • Proficiency in ANSYS for FEA analysis and electromagnetic simulation including Maxwell for electromagnetic field analysis.
  • Expertise in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 3D modeling drafting and design validation.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret simulation results and optimize motor designs for performance and efficiency.
  • Experience with design optimization techniques and methodologies such as topology optimization and parametric studies preferred.
  • Knowledge of motor control algorithms power electronics and thermal management principles.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Detailoriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in design work and documentation.
  • Selfmotivated and proactive with a passion for innovation and continuous learning in electric motor design and simulation technologies.
