LuMel EHS Agency is on a journey for our Manufacturing Client to create a formidable, safety-centered culture, and we're in search of an EHS Specialist to join their team and make this vision a reality. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring our commitment to safety is not just policy, but ingrained in the culture and everyday activities of their team. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in incident investigations and develop corrective actions.
  • Aid in the creation and delivery of EHS training programs.
  • Conduct compliance audits, inspections, and safety observations.
  • Assist in maintaining EHS Management Systems requirements including records, documentation, and procedures.
  • Help manage the inventory of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety materials.
  • Support the Workers Compensation program, including case management.
  • Prepare and maintain regulatory and compliance reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health and/or Safety disciplines, or equivalent experience in an EHS role.
  • Minimum of three years of EHS experience in amanufacturing setting.
  • CSP, ASP, and GSP certifications are highly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization.
  • Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance procedures and reporting.
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse culture/multilingual environment.
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise policies and procedures.
