Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide interpretation services for high school students in various educational settings including classrooms assemblies and extracurricular activities.
  
• Facilitate communication between the students and teachers staff and peers.
  
• Ensure that the student has equal access to educational opportunities and materials.
  
• Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure the students academic success.
  
• Maintain accurate records of interpreting services provided.
  

Requirements

• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
  
• EIPA Score of 3.5 or higher
  
• Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) in Educational Interpretation
  
• Experience collaborating with high school students is preferred.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
