Cypress Employment has a client in Birmingham, AL looking for an Ecommerce Marketing Specialist


Job Summary: The Ecommerce and Marketing specialist will be responsible for aiding in the development and growth of ecommerce and marketing programs, providing support to the Ecommerce and Marketing Manager as directed.



Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities



  • Display a sense of urgency and adheres to a culture of quality, innovation, and adherence to company core values.

  • Maintain a record of proper attendance, performance, and timely completion of all required duties.

  • Own programs including all day-to-day activities:

    • Digital Partner Marketing Program (sell to supplier partners, collect and use investments, track and report success)

    • Digital advertising (ex. Search engine ads, marketplace ads, display ads, track and report success)

    • Marketplaces (ex. Product listing, advertising, oversee customer service and fulfillment, track and report success)

    • Search engine optimization (ex. Keyword research, on-site optimizations, track and report success)



  • Collaborate with ecommerce and marketing team on following efforts:

    • Email marketing

    • Social media

    • Web content

    • Print marketing

    • Web analytics



  • Collaborate with traditional sales teams to increase ecommerce adoption:

    • Ecommerce customer presentations

    • Be an advocate and resource for ecommerce internally



  • Utilize web analytical tools to collect data, produce insights, and deliver reports based on key performance indicators.

  • Provide training and support to internal teams for ecommerce and marketing programs etc.

  • Present key results and recommendations to management team

  • Act as a liaison between client and suppliers to gather performance data and plan new ecommerce and marketing campaigns



Basic Job Requirements



  • Strong desire to learn and master ecommerce technology and practices

  • Articulate and ambitious, able to multi-task and manage competing priorities

  • Analytical ability and a desire to learn from data

  • Excellent problem solver

  • Positive attitude and willingness to take on new responsibilities as needed

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good decision making and problem-solving skills

  • Must be able to safely meet the physical demands of the job

  • Read, write, and speak English

  • Be able to perform basic math

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer usage

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels and associated software (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Google Tag Manager, etc.)

  • Ability to think strategically

  • Ability to build cross-functional partnerships and inspire collaboration



Experience and Educational Requirements



  • 3-5+ years ecommerce experience

  • Experience in paid digital advertising (ex. Google ads)

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Degree with an emphasis in Marketing/ECommerce

Salary: $62K - $65K - BOE
