DraftsmanDesign Engineer Pipework New Zealand Client

• Preparing and presenting technical materials such as cost estimates and project time frame and pipeline layouts.
  
• Create detailed drawings of storage tanks and pipework for production.
  
• Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends market activities and competitors.
  
• Maintain existing relationships with clients.
  
• Comply with current Health & Safety requirements and ensure the welfare of others is not compromised.
  

Requirements

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering Advance Trade Cert or equivalent.
  
• At least 3 years of experience in Drafting and Design or similar role.
  
• Knowledge in steam pipe design and other piping systems.
  
• Be able to read drawings and proficient in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD Inventor Revit or Solid Works.
  
• Have understanding of Piping codes of NZ is highly preferred.
  
• Experience in platform stair and general fabrication design
  
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office
  
• Excellent communication skills (Get consistent feedback and communication to customers and key stakeholders).
  
• Display a positive attitude and exception project management and organizational skills
  
• Have attention to detail and be quality oriented ensuring quality standards are not compromised.
  
• Ability to work independently.
  
• Able to meet targets within strict timelines.
  
• Be able to think and act outside the box (Solutions finder)
  
• Have safety consciousness/awareness.
