Draftsman

• Use computeraided design software to create 2D and 3D technical drawings
• Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings Calculate dimensions and material requirements
• Create preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis
• Create engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing
• Performing calculations for materials and weight limitations
• Edit technical draughts based on the recommendations of project engineers and architects
• Communicating with architects and engineers and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings.
• Preparing reviewing and redrafting alongside the engineering team.
• Ensuring final designs are compliant with building regulations
• Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team.
• Developing technical reports for engineers

• BE Civil/ ITI in Draftsman Mechanical/ Diploma from a recognised institute
• 5 to 7 years of experience in Manufacturing/ Construction Industry
• Ability to operate computeraided design (CAD) software and manual drafting workstations
• Experience with SolidWorks software preferred
• Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Interpersonal skills to work within a team taking direction from Project Managers and Engineers
• Time management skills to complete errorfree work within the required timeframe
• Communication skills with an emphasis on reading and writing for creating documentation and reports
