Job Overview: As a Dispatch Manager at Annadco Sporting, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient coordination and execution of product dispatch operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely delivery of orders to customers while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role requires leadership capabilities to manage a team of dispatch personnel and collaborate with various departments to optimise workflow processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dispatch Operations Management: Supervise and coordinate daily dispatch activities, including order prioritisation, scheduling, and allocation of resources to meet delivery deadlines.

2. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and train dispatch staff to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and performance standards.

3. Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate with the warehouse team to maintain adequate stock levels for dispatch.

4. Route Optimization: Develop and implement efficient delivery routes to minimise transit time, fuel costs, and vehicle wear and tear.

5. Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy and completeness of orders prior to dispatch, conducting quality checks to verify product integrity and proper packaging.

6. Customer Service: Collaborate with customer service representatives to address delivery inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

7. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe working environment for dispatch personnel and ensure compliance with transportation laws.

8. Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to dispatch operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimise efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

• Proven experience in dispatch operations management, preferably in the retail or e-commerce sector.

• Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated success in leading and developing teams.

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and multitask effectively.

• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with dispatch software and Microsoft Office applications.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and interact with customers.

• Knowledge of transportation regulations and logistics best practices.
