The Challenge:
The Director of Patient Analytics & Forecasting Capabilities will lead and direct a dynamic team responsible for building and advancing forecasting capabilities within Novo Nordisk Inc. (NNI). This pivotal role involves developing and fostering a culture of innovation risktaking and continuous improvement. The individual will play a key role in building organizational capabilities leveraging technologies such as Anaplan LAAD and AI/ML to drive evidencebased forecasting for strategic and tactical business decisions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Actively participate in shaping the strategy of the Forecasting & Strategic Finance Leadership team.
Build and lead the Patient Analytics & Forecasting Capabilities team ensuring alignment with business needs.
Create and maintain a center of excellence for Patient Analytics and Forecasting Capabilities.
Innovation and Culture:
Develop a culture that encourages innovation creativity and risktaking.
Demonstrate the art of the possible with analytics to solve business problems.
Identify and champion areas that can benefit from collaboration with the team.
Forecasting Consultation:
Provide insightsdriven forecasting consultation to internal stakeholders.
Utilize patientlevel analytics for short and longterm forecasting incorporating AI/ML methodologies.
Drive evidencebased forecasts for strategic and tactical business decisions.
Data Analytics and Governance:
Utilize current and new data sources to advance proactive predictive analytics.
Identify opportunities assess pilot projects and contribute to future organizational decisions.
Coordinate business and technology communities regarding data and analytics governance.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal groups including Shortterm Volume Forecasting and Strategic Finance teams.
Engage with global counterparts to ensure coordination across Novo Nordisk.
Develop and manage relationships with subject matter experts and vendors for special projects.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
Bachelors degree in finance Engineering Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of progressively relevant experience; leadership experience is essential.
Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical analytics methodologies and reporting platforms.
Proficiency in analytics tools/systems and awareness of technological advancements.
Demonstrated experience introducing innovative technologies for improved business performance.
Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to synthesize complex information.
Proven ability to influence senior management and drive strategic thought leadership.
Physical Requirements:
010% overnight travel required.
Development of People:
Ensure reporting personnel have individual development plans aligned with business priorities.
Manage the application and communication of all policies and procedures.
