Director of Transfer Center

Position Summary:

• Works with National Director to create initiatives and strategy for growth development and outreach initiatives.
• Develops Transfer Center protocols that focus on patientcentered care to ensure transfers are managed effectively.
• Coordinates with Transfer Center Manager to carry out policies procedures standards and objectives in facilitating safe and EMTALA compliant timely transfers in a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities:

• Exhibits effective communication and collaboration with hospital and community leadership. Responsible for 24/7 operation exerting a leadership role which supports the hospitals mission vision goals and objectives while focusing on the patients physicians employees volunteers and the community as customers. Ongoing accountability for the continuous assessment improvement coordination and integration of the department services and standards of care into the hospitals primary function. Position is responsible for strategic planning reporting budgetary and fiscal accountability employee evaluation meeting applicable regulatory standards and approving supply orders.

Required Skills Experience License Certifications:

• Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) Business Administration Management related field or equivalent minimum experience requirements.
• 5 years of experience in nursing management in a hospital setting with 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Prefer prior experience as a manager or director of a transfer center program.
• Registered Nurse License and BLS.

Physical Demands:

• Lift/position up to 25 lbs. Push/pull up to 25 lbs. of force.
• Frequent sitting.
• Moderate standing walking reaching stooping and bending.
• Manual dexterity mobility touch auditory to perform all the related duties of the position.
