Director of Supplier Management

About the Company

Our Client is an omnichannel distributor of products and services in industrial engineering.

Responsibilities

We re looking for an experienced Director of Supplier Management to lead and execute product strategies and supplier engagement in the Asia Pacific region in order to achieve business objectives.

• Work closely with leadership and regional stakeholders to develop and carry out business plans;
  
• Provide insights on industry landscape to identify gaps and opportunities;
  
• Understand different local markets and ensure that products meet demands of the market;
  
• Build value proposition and support streamlining customer experience;
  
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships within the region;
  
• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to ensure that they are aligned with company s direction;
  
• Develop commercial plans and work with internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation;
  
• Work with inventory team to ensure that inventory levels meet regional demands;
  
• Collaborate with sales & marketing teams to ensure product performance targets are met.
  

Requirements

• Tertiary education in a relevant discipline;
  
• Experience in a senior managing role within supplier management within the region;
  
• Deep understanding of industrial engineering landscape in the region;
  
• Strong track record of supplier contracts management;
  
• Excellent people managing skills across geographies;
  
• Good business acumen and ability to deliver results;
  
• Strong negotiation skills;
  
• Excellent communication skills;
  
• Good organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively with global stakeholders.
  

Employment Details

• This role may require occasional travel within the Asia Pacific region.
