Director Of Nursing

Are you an experienced Director of Nursing

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director of Nursing to take the helm of a state of the art nursing home in Dublin.

The Director of Nursing will hold responsibility for the home and report directly to the Director of Operations.

The successful candidate will maintain and enhance the professional services and provision of care to residents, managing all operational matters (clinical and non)

The Director of Nursing will be expected to provide leadership and management to the team, ensuring that the home vision and values are understood and acted upon.

Requirements

• A qualified RGN with at least 3 years’ experience in the last 6 years in care of the older person

• Not less than 3 years experience in a management capacity in the health and social care area

• Current registration with NMBI

• A post registration management qualification in health or a related field.

• Post registration qualification in dementia care and gerontology, highly desirable.

• Detailed knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.

• The ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, team members, management and external bodies e.g. HIQA, HSE, GPs etc.
