Summary of Job Description:
The Director of Finance and Administration will serve as the organization s chief financial officer and will also provide leadership of the organization s internal operations. This individual will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team for the organization and will work closely with the President and the board of directors to ensure that all the organization s objectives and goals are realized.

Job Responsibilities:
Serve as a member of the organization s senior staff leadership team designing and implementing strategies to ensure that all of the organization s goals are achieved
Oversee the annual budgeting process and ensure that the organization s revenue and expense goals are monitored throughout the year
Serve as the main staff liaison to the Audit and Finance Committee and the external audit team; manage timely audit process
Manage bookkeeping activities and systems
Manage grant and contract financial compliance
Manage leasing agreements
Ensure that the organization is compliant with all accounting procedures and legal/compliance requirements
Oversee the organization s administrative financial and internal operations staff including office management and facilities management
Works with the Director of Human Resources to manage payroll benefits and compliance with all HRrelated government rules and regulations
Other Duties
Assist with the maintenance of office areas and equipment as well as housekeeping of office and taxsite facilities
In conjunction with other staff assist members of the public who visit or telephone the agency
Attend all agency meetings or events outside office hours as requested
Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

Successful candidates will possess all or many of the following qualifications and/or skills:
Bachelor s degree in accounting or finance; master s degree preferred
57 years of experience in an accounting or financerelated position serving in progressively responsible positions
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Experience with financial software Google and Microsoft Suites
Experience with managing grant contracts from local state and government funders
Knowledge of GAAP and accounting specifics for nonprofit organizations
35 years of supervisory experience preferably in a nonprofit environment
Familiarity or experience with principles of office administration risk management and human resources management
A flexible and adaptable management style; a leader who can positively impact both strategic and tactical initiatives in a rapidly evolving environment
The ability to work independently and as a team player to take initiative and to manage multiple tasks and projects at one time

A minimum of 7 years of senior-level leadership experience in community development, nonprofit management, or a related field. Strong understanding of nonprofit residential and community real estate programs, particularly for low and moderate-income individuals. Proven track record in strategic planning, program development, and implementation. Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community organizations, government agencies, and funders. Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences. Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, financial management, and reporting. Leadership qualities including vision, adaptability, resilience, and a commitment to collaboration and inclusivity.
