Our successful candidate will develop excellent ClientPartner Relationships be invested in the Emory & Henry culture and campus events and have a presence on campus during events that shows a strong commitment to our students.

This role will develop customer service strategies that go above and beyond the average to prove to clientpartners that we are invested in the success of our students faculty and staff including during special events. As the Director of Facilities Management on our campus your background as an FM leader will help you develop partnerships with our clients by proving financial results. Your leadership will drive decisions based on data and changing needs and by building and maintaining strong client relationships to promote the Clients for Life philosophy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge of the following: mechanical electrical plumbing HVAC safety systems landscape and energy management systems.
  • Experience in working on a college campus or other large complex properties with Integrated Facilities Management is preferred including Facilities Environmental Services and Landscaping and Grounds.
  • Fully Invested and involved in the community SHOW UP to Board of Trustee Meetings Homecomings Graduation Weekends warm cultural presence.
  • Expert at Deferred maintenance.
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen with a strong P&L understanding.
  • Strong Leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building.
  • Exceptional client relationship and communication skills.
  • Excellent financial acumen.

The Director of Facilities Operations is responsible for directing facilities maintenance operations of building(s) and property at a single unit. The Director of Facilities Operations manages the preventative maintenance and reactive repair of skilled trades e.g. HVAC plumbing electrical utilities; and manages the hiring training and supervision of staff professionals and management. The Director of Facilities Operations manages a safe and efficient working environment essential to the performance of the business. The Director may oversee construction work and often manages other core services and/or logistics of business/operations services e.g. grounds keeping laundry food security inventory mail concierge services.

  • Basic education requirement Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Basic management experience 5 years
  • Basic functional experience 5 years

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in working on a college campus or other large complex properties with Integrated Facilities Management including Facilities Environmental Services and Landscaping and Grounds.
  • 5 years of experience in Management.
  • 5 years of Functional experience.
  • Experience in ClientPartner Relationships.
  • Experience in Deferred Maintenance.
