Director Of Facilities

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as Director of Facilities. In this role you will drive success through your passion for people and your commitment to excellence. The Director of Facilities will oversee all aspects of facility management for our client partner at a prominent university campus located in Smithfield RI.

Our ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional professionalism a strategic mindset and a sense of urgency to meet the needs of our esteemed client partner. Reporting directly to the District Manager the Director of Facilities will be responsible for budget management team leadership and ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction across all academic administrative and offsite campus buildings. A valid drivers license is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and enhance facility management programs including planning construction projects maintenance energy management groundskeeping and janitorial services.
• Direct facilities maintenance operations overseeing skilled trades such as HVAC plumbing electrical and utilities.
• Manage recruitment training and supervision of staff professionals and management team members.
• Ensure a safe and efficient working environment conducive to business performance.
• Oversee construction projects and coordinate other essential services such as groundskeeping laundry food security inventory and concierge services.

Basic Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in facilities operations.
• Proficiency in managing facilities within a university or campus setting with a focus on mechanical trades groundskeeping and custodial services in a union environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) designation is advantageous.
