We are seeking an established handson Director of Facilities to oversee all aspects of facility management and maintenance to ensure efficient and safe operations in our Salon Spa locations. This role will be responsible for strategic planning budgeting and the implementation of policies and safety procedures. Additionally they will engage and partner with vendors and contractors on existing and new work including coordinating remodels. The Director of Facilities leads a team of one with this person supporting tactical execution. This role reports into the Vice President of IT who oversees Facilities in addition to IT and other functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administers plans and directs service contracts such as landscaping custodial plumbing electrical mechanical pest control generators fire life safety work order management system and snow removal operations.
  • Provides project reviews inspection and approval of facility renovation and new construction projects.
  • Manages inventory including periodic facilities and equipment condition assessments.
  • Oversee and schedule contractors vendors and maintenance staff. Coordinate with necessary parties (management salon operations contractor landlord etc.) to insure timely execution and completion of repair and maintenance requests.
  • Conducts regular business inspections for safety cleaning standards procedure compliance.
  • Source review and evaluate consultants contractors and vendors for repairs and maintenance.
  • Manage small to medium sized repair projects identify and prioritize repair and maintenance needs research and determine project solutions oversee provider bidding/selection including supervision of contractors.
  • Request obtain and evaluate vendor bids/proposals for repairs and maintenance.
  • Work closely with maintenance technician. Identify/locate and purchase parts supplies and materials.
  • Manage repair and maintenance activities including identifying inefficiencies providing recommendations and implementing improvements.
  • Develops and coordinates written proposals and other purchasing service contract agreement specifications.
  • Participates in short and longterm budget development identifies facility operation area expenses and equipment needs.
  • Maintain/Update working CapEx and R&M spreadsheets regularly. For both current and future years projects. Work with Finance in getting uptodate monthly CapEx spend and reporting on our budgeted and unbudgeted CapEx monthly to Leadership team.
  • Manage implement changes/enhancements and monitor Service Channel system including analyzing and directing work order requests providing status updates evaluating historical data and creating/delivering training to staff and contractors.
  • Responds to all facility complaints and organizational customer service issues in a professional manner.
  • Oversee vendor contracts and contract performance partnering with the CFO to negotiate and approve as needed. Review annual preventative maintenance contracts.
  • Additional responsibilities as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Eight or more years of professional experience in Facilities Management Design Construction Operations or a related field.
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience leading and motivating teams.
  • Excellent decisionmaking skills organizational and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety rules regulations and policies.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people at all levels in the organization.
  • Up to date working knowledge of construction unions fixture furniture and equipment.
  • Highly motivated organized serviceoriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate many projects and tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and/or Smartsheet.
  • Record keeping and other administrative skills.
  • Ability to travel to all salon locations as necessary.
