Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Diesel Service Technician to join our team at a distributor specializing in the sales and service of new and used equipment and accessories for the aggregate mining and cement industries. Based in Mission TX this position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with five (5) years of Caterpillar Heavy Equipment Service Technician experience. The ideal candidate will be familiar with CAT ET Diagnostic Software possess strong technical skills and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional service to our customers. While servicing mining equipment experience is preferred it is not required. This role includes per diem a service truck and health benefits.

Responsibilities:

1. Equipment Service and Repair:
   • Perform diagnostic tests troubleshooting repairs and preventive maintenance on dieselpowered equipment typical to the aggregate mining and cement industries.
   • Identify and resolve mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
2. CAT ET Diagnostic Software:
   • Utilize CAT ET Diagnostic Software to diagnose engine faults calibrate components and perform software updates as required.
   • Maintain accurate records of diagnostic findings repair activities and parts used for documentation and billing purposes.
3. Customer Support:
   • Provide technical support and assistance to customers both onsite and remotely to address equipment issues and minimize downtime.
   • Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair procedures discuss service recommendations and ensure customer satisfaction.
4. Service Truck Operations:
   • Operate a service truck equipped with tools equipment and parts necessary for onsite repairs and maintenance.
   • Ensure the service truck is properly stocked maintained and organized to support efficient service operations.
5. Health and Safety Compliance:
   • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment for oneself and others.
   • Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials operating equipment and performing service tasks safely.

Qualifications:

• Five (5) years of experience as a Caterpillar Heavy Equipment Service Technician specializing in dieselpowered equipment.
• Proficiency in using CAT ET Diagnostic Software for engine diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Strong technical skills in diesel engine systems with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues.
• Previous experience servicing mining equipment is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
• Must live in the surrounding Mission Texas areas.
• Ability to work independently prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
