Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for sheet metal components using SolidWorks
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand design requirements and constraints
• Conduct design reviews and make necessary modifications based on feedback and analysis
• Develop and maintain design documentation including BOMs and engineering change orders
• Perform tolerance analysis and ensure designs meet manufacturing and assembly requirements
• Drive continuous improvement in design processes and tools
• Participate in prototype builds and provide support to resolve designrelated issues
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure manufacturability and costeffectiveness of designs
• Contribute to design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA) initiatives
• Stay updated on industry trends best practices and new technologies in sheet metal design

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proven experience in sheet metal design using SolidWorks
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and materials
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Experience with design validation methods such as FEA and CFD
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems for document and data management
• Proficiency in design standards and best practices for sheet metal components
• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
• Capability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and cost implications on design
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering highquality designs
• Experience in new product development and crossfunctional teamwork
• Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and dynamic work environment
