Salary: $6590K plus bonus


Job Summary:
The Design Engineer plays a vital role in the design development and support of products throughout their lifecycle from concept to production and customer support. This position involves creating tools controls equipment fixtures and processes essential for manufacturing new products.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Generate multiple design solutions and CAD layouts to determine optimal designs for both new and existing products.
2. Conduct engineering calculations necessary to meet project goals and expectations.
3. Develop and contribute to internal and external specifications for products.
4. Prepare comprehensive Bill of Materials part weldment and assembly drawings with accuracy and detail.
5. Manage multiple projects and Engineering Change Notices efficiently.
6. Contribute to or determine processes involved in product development including prototyping testing and tooling.
7. Provide project and documentation support as needed.

Education & Experience:

Possess an Associates or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Agricultural Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Required experience in Agricultural or Farm Equipment design.
Minimum of 2 years of design and manufacturing experience.
Proficiency in a 3D CAD program; preference for Autodesk Inventor & Vault though other programs like Catia ProE Solid Works or Solid Edge will be considered.
Previous involvement in product development project coordination.
Experience in designing operating and using agricultural equipment along with knowledge of general farming operations.
Prior work experience in developing and supporting product and design support documentation such as Product Manuals and Department standards.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal along with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
