Design Engineer

Integral part of the Project team offering design guidance ensuring quality assurance reviewing and providing red lines of engineering drawings including machining fabrication and assembly drawings using current industrial knowledge and practices.
Work in a team environment to analyze requirements from the customer.
Review engineering drawings to ensure conformances to the engineering and clients standards and accuracy against scope of work.
Perform and/or review dimensional fit / tolerance analysis.
Produce/review other required design documentation.
Provide design engineers with redlined drawings.
Compares material sizes detailed on fabrication drawings to products availability & size parameters.
Checks bill of materials on fabrication drawings to include standard items and correct packing quantity.
Participates in engineering review meetings.
Maintains list of jobs completed within the engineering department and common errors for efficiency and performance improvement opportunities.
Review and evaluate mechanical designs specifications and technical documents to ensure compliance with established standards and best practices. Provide notations and feedback to team members so necessary corrections are made to designs and reference materials.
