This is a remote position.

Design Associate

Salary - £25,000 to £32,000

Location – Surrey + Remote or Hybrid working available

Key Skills – AutoCAD, Autodesk, Revit, Architecture, Multi-Site, Surveying, Technical Drawings

We’re working with a company that helps deliver Architectural and Construction projects, from Design, Programme Management and Construction Services within the Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare and Housing sectors to name a few, they have worked with the likes of McDonalds, BP, Starbucks and many more.

Due to growth they’re now looking to expand the design team with an additional Design Associate, they will be working alongside a group of individuals to provide architectural or engineering services, accountable for producing accurate design and construction documents for their multi-site clients and supporting other team members in achieving team goals.

Further responsibilities, but are not limited to:

  • Create high-quality detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied by architects and designers and make modifications to existing drawings
  • Assists in preparing complete, accurate, regulation compliant and to scale construction documents
  • Liaise with architects, engineers and designers to understand their design requirements and provide technical advice to manufacturing and construction technicians
  • Present working drawings for use in all stages of the project, tender, manufacture/construction and installation
  • Calculate costs and apply knowledge of materials and engineering principles to check feasibility of manufacture and construction of the product
  • Conduct site visits and surveys when required
  • Travel is required so to manage projects effectively and will be up to and including weekly site visits

Skills and experiences required:

  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD & Revit is essential
  • BTEC or HND or similar equivalent qualification in CAD related subject
  • Good knowledge of architectural principles, practices, and advanced techniques
  • Experience in multi-site projects preferred
  • A full, clean & compliant driving license required
