The ROLE:
As Deputy GM you will lead and inspire a team of dedicated professionals ensuring the highest of standards driving both employee & guest satisfaction and operational efficiency across all departments
You will be responsible for maintaining and driving exceptional standards throughout the business exceeding in our guest overall delivery.
The role demands strong leadership skills.
You will be responsible for driving key performance indicators Deliver revenue & profitability targets as per annual budget for venue through achieving set KPI s.
People Management / Employee Experience:
Compile weekly rosters while being responsible for payroll budget in the department.
Ensure good communication in allocation of daily duties and responsibilities within the department.
Manage Departmental costs effectively.
To maximise all sales opportunities and implement upselling procedures within the department.
Monitor present & future trends practices & systems within the hospitality industry.
To attend engage and implement actions agreed at monthly Commercial Meetings for promoting the venue to drive business and maximise all potential opportunities.
Work with Marketing to develop and create content.
THE PERSON:
Ability to work with and support colleagues to deliver agreed objectives.
Customer focused individual with effective communication skills both verbal and written.
Critical thinking skills to analyse problems; takes a structured approach to identifying appropriate solutions.
Capacity to quickly understand what will help or hinder accomplishing a goal; eliminates roadblocks creates focus.
Approachable with ability to train and develop team members effectively.
Ensure that all aspects of the hotel s operation are in accordance with legal requirements particularly in relation to licensing employment and health and safety.
Professional requirements & Experience
Must have a minimum of 4 year s Senior Management
Hotel management qualification
Strong Food & Beverage background
Revenue & Financial Management Experience
Smart professional outlook with an innovative management style challenging the norm
Strong IT Skills
Must have a proven track record in meeting targets and deadlines
Strong operations experience in dealing with clients from Corporate Tours to leisure.
