The Demand Modeling Manager position encompasses support for both the Demand Planning processes and systems with an emphasis in SAP IBP. The position will be responsible for all training pertaining to both the software applications as well as the business processes of Demand Planning while working in conjunction with the Reporting and Supply Planning Support Team.
Specific responsibilities include: Conduct all initial and on-going training and training material development supporting demand, supply and business partners within the organization that support the demand and S&OP functions. Design, develop and implement new reports and metrics to support planning visibility to the S&OP process targeting inventory reporting, variance to Finished Goods and Raw material plans, investigation and feedback on inaccuracy repeat offenders and large demand changes, validating forecasts on key categories for tuning errors or anomalies and Demand SharePoint site management. Work directly with Information Systems to resolve system and data issues that are impacting the business operations in a timely and effective matter. Develop and maintain system algorithms that support the needs of the business.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 5 plus years of experience in Supply Chain and planning processes tools. A background in SAP IBP is strongly preferred.
Computer Skills: Microsoft suite of applications with and emphasis in Excel and Excel add-ins is strongly preferred.
Communication Skills: Advanced written and verbal communication skills; Ability to motivate and inspire cooperation as well as instruct and teach; Ability to network with Tyson's sales and marketing associates; Ability to communicate to a variety of levels users business owners IS Support analysts etc. on system capabilities process changes enhancement requests system configurations etc.
Special Skills: Extensive problem solving skills to understand user needs and translate them into system requirements for the IS support team as well as the ability to develop and implement process improvements; Excellent understanding of how the Demand Planning process works how Supply Planning is performed and how the two processes work together; Technical skills and aptitude to investigate, develop, propose and implement system configurations, data modeling; detailed analytical skills to review system output and develop and maintain applicable performance metrics.
Travel: 3-4 domestic trips per year
Location: This position will be based out of Tyson's Corporate Headquarters in Springdale, Arkansas. Relocation assistance may be provided for those candidates that meet the Tyson Relocation policy guidelines.
