Direct client- DB2 Z/OS Systems Administrator, Columbus, OH- Remote

DB2 Z/OS systems programmer

Will work remote, but must pick up the equipment in Columbus, OH.

PART TIME 25 hours per week

This person will be responsible for systems-level and Database Administration support for the DB2 Z/OS Mainframe including maintenance, patching, upgrades, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting for DB2 version 12 on Z/OS 2.5 and other DB2 Z/OS related products (e.g. BCV5, DB2 connect, QMF, BMC DB2 Administrative tools, Mainview).

Qualified applicants will have 15-20 years combined experience as a DB2 Z/OS systems programmer & DB2 Z/OS Database Administrator

that includes recent supported versions of DB2 and strong SMP/E skills (e.g. downloading DB2 Z/OS software, reviewing SMP/e hold data, assessing the impact of an upgrade or patch to code)

upgrading BMC DB2 Admin tools for DB2 Z/OS (eg change manager, catalog manager, mainview etc).

leading, planning and executing DB2 Z/OS upgrades, applying PTFs, troubleshooting DB2 Z/OS and 3rd party software products (e.g. BCV5 DB2 connect, QMF, BMC DB2 Administrative tools, Mainview).

• 5+ years of experience setting up and running BCV5 in test and production DB2 Z/OS subsystems (e.g. setting up automated jobs, exclude lists, masking)
