Database Administrator

Job Title: Database Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Design implement and maintain the organizations database systems.
• Ensure the security integrity and performance of the databases.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize database usage.
• Monitor and troubleshoot databaserelated issues.
• Perform regular backups and ensure data recovery procedures are in place.
• Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and tools.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL Oracle SQL Server).
• Proficient in SQL and database query optimization.
• Experience with database security and backup procedures.
• Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles.
• Excellent problemsolving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate).
• Experience with cloudbased databases (e.g. AWS RDS Azure SQL Database).
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB Cassandra).
