Terminal builds software that digitizes indexes and automates the yard leveraging bestinclass machine learning. Our platform will provide warehouse operators with the intelligence needed to optimize their usage of trucks trailers chassis containers and personnel. These are the fundamental operating assets of commerce and represent the last great frontier of untapped data. In the process Terminal will address many industrywide pain points including compliance manual processes equipment location phantom costs and labor inefficiencies. Ultimately Terminal will become the central nervous system for the yard seamlessly connecting all data sources to support an extensive range of essential functions.

Overview:

We are seeking a data scientist to join our team. The role will work closely with senior data scientist and engineers in the company in collecting and analysing large amount of raw information to find patterns that would help improve our company process. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating and maintaining SQL and NoSQL databases create visualisations and report to communicate findings and working in an agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop maintain and monitor SQL and NoSQL databases
• Create data visualisations and reports to monitor overall data health and provide insights to improve data strategy
• Effectively work with Machine Learning engineers to deploy models into the data pipeline
• Ensure accurate data metrics are delivered which results in timely business analytics
• Build data pipelines and maintain high quality of data collection / processing
• Support the creation and maintenance of Terminals Core Technology Data Function department

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Statistics or related field
• 3 years of experience in data science
• Experience with python programming language
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with data visualization tools and building reporting dashboard
• Experience with machine learning and deep learning for computer vision is a plus
• Experience in logistics industry is a plus
