Position: Data Engineer

Location: Limassol Cyprus or Tallinn Estonia

Work model: Hybrid 3 days a week at the office

Employment type: Fulltime

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop data integration solutions for the extraction transformation and loading of data into Data lake and/or data warehouse using modern cloudbased solutions
• Design and develop rich data models for data analysis purposes
• Develop import procedures for gathering storing and analyzing corporate data from various other sources
• Actively contribute to the continued design and development of organizations current data estate
• Analyse business requirements and develop unique simple solutions to meet the immediate and longterm BI demands of the group

REQUIREMENTS:

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science Data Science or related field
• At least 4 years experience in a similar position in a financial services organization
• Strong SQL skills along with strong Data Warehouse design principles knowledge
• Good understanding of data lake design practices along with basic storage formats like csv json parquet etc
• Good understanding of objectoriented programming languages like Python and Scala
• Ability to translate complex source data into a consumable format and structure
• Strong business acumen analytical skills logical analysis conceptual thinking and problemsolving skills
• Design and implement complex multistep pipelines that orchestrate data movement across different data stores
• Ability in liaising with product management and content owners to produce impactful visualizations
• Excellent knowledge of the English Language both written and oral is a must
• Team player and having excellent communication skills is a must
  It will be considered an advantage if you have:
• Familiarity with Azure cloud ecosystem
• Experience in financial markets
• Good knowledge in data visualization including dashboard development and design principles using Power BI or Tableau or other reporting tools
• Written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence others
