Our HQ is located in Oslo Norway where we have a team of 60 consultants from various educational fields and professional domains.
Right now we are looking to strengthen our team with an experienced fullstack Data Engineer. As a part of our team youll get the opportunity to create actionable insights from our business operations partnerships and external client collaboration. You will help us innovate and improve internal and external processes and be the driving force behind a datadriven future of recruitment at Amby.
The Team Youll Be Joining @ Amby
We are building up an internal Data Team right now and you will be the first inhouse person on the ground. This means you have an opportunity to take full ownership of how we process and structure data at Amby.
You will collaborate closely with one of our consultants and be part of a bigger Operations team. You will be reporting directly to the VP Operations and work closely with the COO CEO Finance and Partners.
What you will be doing
As a Data Engineer at Amby youll be part of a culture of innovation where data is the key driver of our business success. If you love problemsolving and enjoy ownership in your work you will thrive in this role and the following tasks:
- Architect and implement: Craft an efficient pipeline architecture and data systems to uncover operational improvement opportunities through insightful reporting tools.
- Build and optimize: Design build and streamline data infrastructure for efficient ETL across diverse sources.
- Engineer information flow: Construct robust pipelines for seamless data availability across the organization.
- Own the data journey: Gather structure analyze and present all company data for comprehensive understanding.
- Automate for efficiency: Optimize existing scripts build new ones and automate tasks like surveys calculations and resource allocation.
- Turn data into action: Develop dashboards and reports that leverage the data pipeline to deliver actionable insights on operations customer journeys and key performance metrics.
- Guide strategic decisions: Translate insights into actionable intelligence for the entire organization.
- Evolve alongside needs: Collaborate with leadership to continuously improve and adapt the data infrastructure.

A Data Engineer at Amby is a fullstack and a problemsolver by heart. They love a new challenge understand the business context of their work conceptualize solutions extract and prepare data create visualizations develop models write productionready code document their work and collaborate well with others.
In terms of your qualifications we are looking for:
- 3 years of experience in data engineering focused on data pipeline orchestration also in greenfield/ R&D projects.
- Proficiency in SQL Python and APIs (ideally REST API).
- Experience working in a Cloud Environment (ideally Azure) and basic experience with Virtual Machines or Serverless.
- Basic experience building automation with Bash (or others used in Linux terminal).
- Experience designing building and maintaining ETL pipelines and databases
- Strong skills in using multiple data sources (the ability to simplify effectively visualize and communicate complex insights is a strong plus).
- Driven by ownership with the ability to prioritize tasks strategically manage stakeholders collaboratively and deliver results by effectively balancing speed and accuracy.
- Vision for what the datadriven future could be at Amby and initiative to take part in bringing that vision to life.
