Title: DAMIS support

Location: Remote

Are you passionate about leveraging your technical expertise to support disaster management and emergency response systems We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Remote DAMIS Support Specialist. In this role you will play a crucial part in providing technical assistance and support for our disaster asset management information system.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in providing technical support ideally within disaster management or emergency response systems.
  • Familiarity with asset management systems or GIS software would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
  • Knowledge of database management systems particularly those used for asset tracking and management.
  • Familiarity with GIS software for mapping and spatial analysis.
  • Ability to assist users with software functionalities data entry and system navigation.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and capability to troubleshoot basic networking issues.
  • Experience with mobile technology and data collection tools utilized in disaster management scenarios.
  • Experience with DAMIS or similar asset management systems is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software for user support and issue tracking.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with users comprehend their requirements and deliver satisfactory support.
  • Capacity to collaborate within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated patience and empathy when assisting users particularly during stressful disaster situations.
  • Strong problemsolving skills to promptly address technical challenges and provide solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple support requests simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail in documenting issues troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
  • Ability to adhere to established procedures and protocols for system support and maintenance.
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing circumstances and effective performance in highpressure situations typical of disaster response efforts.
  • Bachelors degree in computer science information technology disaster management or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A GIS Professional (GISP) or certifications specific to the DAMIS platform are advantageous.
