We are looking for a motivated Customer Service Export Specialist to join our team in our Amherst, NY location. This position is scheduled Monday to Friday day shift.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent required
Bachelors degree in business administration, logistics, or other similar field preferred
3 to 6 years of experience in an environment that accentuates serving customers and responding immediately to dynamic requirements
3 6 years of experience within a manufacturing plant, or similar environment, specifically within a shipping or customer service department required
Must have working knowledge of US Customs laws, rules and regulations, and must stay up to date on regulations. Experience with international business and customs compliance activities. Familiar with sourcing requirements for Land, Sea and Air
3 6 years of experience working with forwarders, carriers, 3rd party logistic vendors required
Must have a strong working knowledge in an ERP system (QAD preferred)
Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and in writing
Must possess strong organizational skills, as well as detail-oriented and be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Requires a high level of interpersonal skills and ability to build cooperative working relationships. Must be a team player, self-motivated and dependable
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The Customer Service Export Specialist is responsible for planning the timely, economic and safe transport of all domestic and international inbound and outbound shipments. A thorough understanding of export requirements and all applicable customs regulations is essential to insure that customer requirements and expectations are met while minimizing shipping costs and meeting financial commitments.

This role is responsible for the day to day completion of handling all exported materials including required paperwork/compliance documentation that ensures customers receive their orders. In addition, they will address the global, regional and local customs issues to ensure compliance with all government regulations regarding domestic transportation, importations and exportations of BN products. This role will have daily interactions with internal teams, customers, as well as 3rd party vendors to coordinate all exporting processes.

This position will provide customer service support to our BN customers. Duties will include prompt processing of orders (order entry), invoices, RFQ's, and credit/debit adjustments for BN products worldwide extensive communication with customers both domestic and worldwide.

This position is also responsible for the care, custody, safe handling and control of all materials and products received and stored.

This position will focus their time in the following areas:

Export Documentation - 45%

Customer Service - 30%

Shipping / Receiving Support - 15%

General Other Tasks, as assigned - 10%
