Job Description

As a Collections Team Lead you will oversee a team of collection specialists providing leadership motivation coaching and support to optimize their performance and address challenges in the debt collection process. Your role will involve monitoring both individual and team performance against established targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in achieving collection goals.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid any Metro Manila site

What do you need to succeed
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Finance Accounting Communication or a related field.
  • Candidates without a bachelor s degree will be considered if they have a proven track record in the same role.
  • At least 3 years experience in collection and at least 2 years as a Team Lead.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong English communications skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Leadership abilities including the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proven track record in the same role

  • Lead motivate coach support and manage a team of collection specialists to optimize their performance and overcome challenges in debt collection process.
  • Monitor individual and team performance against established targets and KPIs.
  • Allocate accounts and tasks to team members based on their skills and workload capacity and ensure the timely and appropriate handling of all accounts.
  • Act as a liaison between the collection team and other departments in relation to client queries/disputes ensuring swift resolution.
  • Address escalated customer issues and complex accounts requiring special attention.
  • Prepare regular monthly/weekly reports on team performance including collection rates call volumes and other relevant metrics and presents the same to the Credit Manager and provide insights for improvement.
  • Review and report weekly collections metrics to track progress against monthly forecasted goals.
  • Handle client disputes and queries by investigating and collaborating with other teams/departments as well as develop and implement strategies to resolve disputes in a fair and mutually beneficial manner.
  • Foster a positive work environment.
  • Review and evaluate high risk as well as delinquent accounts and take timely and appropriate action to reduce collection risk and maximize total collections.
  • Handle and diffuse escalated calls.
  • Contact delinquent customers by telephone email and letters according to collections policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
