Credit Control Team Lead

Nixon McQuade is delighted to be working with a well-renowned company based in Armagh to find a talented Credit Control Team Lead to join their finance team.

Our client is seeking an experienced Credit Control Team Lead to oversee their credit management operations and lead a team of credit control professionals.

As the Credit Control Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing and motivating a team of credit control specialists to ensure timely collections, minimise credit risk exposure, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of credit control professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
• Develop and implement credit control policies and procedures to optimise collections and minimise bad debt.
• Monitor and analyse credit risk exposure and recommend strategies to mitigate risk.
• Review and approve credit limits and terms for new and existing customers.
• Collaborate with sales, finance, and other departments to resolve customer disputes and address payment issues.
• Provide regular reports and analysis on credit performance to management.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in credit control or a similar role, with demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Strong knowledge of credit management principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
