Leader in the AgriPV market in France Technique Solaire is a French independent producer of solar electricity founded in 2008. In 2023 Technique Solaire represents c. 200 employees and an expected annual turnover of 200 million euros. We are expert in developing building and operating solar projects. We own and operate 450 MWp of assets and have more than 2 GWp of projects in construction and development.

The company expanded internationally in India (2014) the Netherlands in 2018 and Spain in 2022. In the Dutch market by the end of 2023 we will operate 8 MWc with 27 MWc to be launched for construction. We are also developing a portfolio of 100 MWc and we aim to expand our activities. Our target is to have 150 MWp of operational projects in the country by the end of 2027.

Responsabilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Country Director to lead business development construction and operations in the Netherlands. As the Country Director you will be responsible for understanding local market and overseeing the strategic direction growth and overall performance of the local subsidiary.

Your main objective will be to develop and execute business strategies that drive revenue growth expand market presence and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders.


The position is located in Utrecht from where you frequently travel locally and occasionally abroad (France mainly). You will report directly to the VicePresident International Business Development and will be assisted by the French support services (finance legal HR technical). Local team will be recruited in the shortterm.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the local subsidiary aligned with the overall corporate objectives.
  • Act as lead representative with municipalities energy cooperatives DSO/TSO RVO governmental entities utilities and corporate offtakers with the aim to determined optimal route to market strategies for each of the projects.
  • Lead business development efforts for greenfield projects including identifying and pursuing new projects partnerships and collaborations within the renewable energies sector.
  • Recruit develop and retain a highperforming team providing clear direction coaching and mentoring to ensure their professional growth.
  • Oversee the daytoday operations (development construction operations and maintenance) of the company ensuring compliance with local laws regulations and industry standards.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (at least 15 years) in a leadership role within the renewable energies sector preferably with a focus on business development or country management.
  • Strong knowledge of the Dutch PV industry including policies regulations energy market mechanisms and key players.
  • Selfmotivated and performance driven
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a local team while regularly liaising with top management.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch both written and verbal. French is a nicetohave.
