Cost Controller and Inventory Manager - Hospitality

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller and Inventory Manager for our client in Hospitality Industry. This position involves overseeing the inventory monitoring costs and implementing strategies to enhance overall efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations:

• Visit the restaurant daily conduct regular checks and maintain an online inventory of food & beverage and operational stock.
• Enter purchase details into internal databases.

Coordination and Communication:

• Coordinate with store in charge for stock and supplies ensuring smooth restaurant operations.
• Conduct weekly meetings with relevant stakeholders for transparency and cost control

Purchasing and Vendor Management:

• Implement sound purchasing policies systems and procedures.
• Monitor vendors for quality service and pricing; obtain competitive quotations.
• Evaluate suppliers offers and negotiate profitable deals.

Inventory Management:

• Conduct regular inventory audits to determine levels and needs.
• Investigate and address any discrepancies in inventory records.
• Generate weekly quarterly and monthly inventory reports.

Record Keeping:

• Maintain clear and organized records for reports files and invoices.
• Crosscheck requisitions related to purchases and ensure reconciliation upon stock receipt.

Quality Control:

• Oversee quality standards and expiry of materials received.
• Control wastage damages and pilferage in food and beverage outlets.

Process Optimization:

• Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee return processes.
• Identify and report slowmoving items to avoid overpurchasing.
• Verify supply quotations to ensure goods received align with agreements.

Team Collaboration:

• Be a team player coordinating with various departments for seamless inventory management.
• Ensure store requisitions are signed and processed promptly.

Cost Control:

• Track all costs associated with restaurant operations ensuring alignment with budget constraints.
• Analyze differences between actual and budgeted costs proposing corrective actions.
• Prepare regular costrelated reports for informed decisionmaking.

Adherence to Policies:

• Implement measures to avoid stock damages theft and wastage.
• Ensure all materials issued have requisition or approval from the respective department head.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement necessary changes.
• Stay updated with market trends and sources of supply.

Adaptability:

• Perform any other related duties as assigned by management showcasing flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Business Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience in inventory management and cost control within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
• Knowledge of supply chain and logistics.
• Analytical skills for demand forecasting.
• Familiarity with inventory management software MS excel
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent Communication skills to coordinate with different teams.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
