Cost Accounting Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Food & Beverage Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing financial data related to Food and Beverage (F&B) for our restaurants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting financial analysis and a deep understanding of F&B cost management.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze F&B Banquets and Catering cost structures to identify areas of improvement and costsaving opportunities. Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts for F&B
• Monitor and report on actual vs. budgeted performance.
• Oversee inventory control processes including tracking reconciling and reporting on F&B inventory levels.
• Implement strategies to reduce waste and optimize inventory turnover.
• Prepare regular cost reports for F&B providing detailed insights into cost trends variances and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with culinary and sales teams to assess the profitability of menu items and catering packages.
• Investigate and report on variances between actual and expected costs identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Evaluate vendor contracts negotiate terms and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure costeffectiveness and quality of products and services.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal controls in F&B cost management.
• Assist in the monthend closing process including reconciling accounts preparing journal entries and producing accurate financial statements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in food and beverage or a related industry
• Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the finance and hospitality professions
• Requires ability to investigate and analyze current activities and/or information in a specialized field involving readily available data and indicating logical conclusions and recommendations
