TekWissen Group is a workforce management provider throughout the USA and many other countries in the world. The client below is a home appliance manufacturing company and the worlds second largest appliance maker. It produces a variety of products intended for home consumers.
Position: Controls Technician
Location: Springfield TN 37172
Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:
- 58 years exp Controls Technician:
- Support the operation diagnosis and repair activities for automated assembly equipment.
- Work closely with Controls and Maintenance leaders and support them by completing assigned activities.
- The successful candidate will have technical knowledge of automated work cells process lines and operational technology.
- Successful candidate will prioritize and organize own work to deliver production equipment support and agreed improvement projects.
- Applies knowledge/skills to a variety of standard day to day activities to support the operation and improvement of process equipment.
- Identifies and solves problems in straightforward situations; generates possible solutions analyses each using standard procedures.
- Contributes actively in team activities sharing experience and ideas.
KEY OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Team member in assigned projects. Contribute as subject matter expert for controls and electrical equipment
- Confirm equipment meets specifications as it relates to electrical controls and operational technology specifications
- Improve operations (uptime quality data collection) through controls improvement
- Assist operations and maintenance by troubleshooting failures and identifying corrections
- Support and provide daily shift reporting
- Support equipment installation as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in Mechatronics (Electrical or Controls preferred)
- 5 years experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/controls drawings 2 3 years experience required
- PLC programming (Siemens S7) and HMI (Simatic) 5 8 years experience required
- PLC programming (AB ControlLogix) and HMI (FactoryTalk)
OPC/OPC UA Client application - Fluent English
- Experience supporting and improving new production machinery and integrated systems
- Experience with automated work cells integrating standard 6axis robots (KUKA preferred)
- Strong computer skills particularly Microsoft Office applications
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of Siemens PLCs HMIs & VFDs 5 8 years experience required
- Automated work cells with integrated robotics troubleshooting.
- Vision system knowledge and applications (Cognex)
- Safety systems and light curtains troubleshooting
- SIEMENS PLC and ALLEN BRADLEY REQUIRED
