WRK digital are delighted to be shortlisting for experienced Contract EDI Consultants to join an enterprise technology team. The contract is an initial 6 month engagement with a strong chance of renewal and is remote first with occasional time onsite at a Leeds, West Yorkshire HQ.

The main responsibilities for the EDI Consultant are to manage the technical aspects of client and carrier on boarding, including platform configuration, integration through EDI/API and quality testing as the team move from a legacy on premise EDI solution (Gentran) to IBM cloud based EDI service (SCBN).

You will collaborate with key stakeholders to support the migration and implementation of the integration to customers and suppliers.

Essential Criteria:
* Experience of IBM Sterling Gentran (IBM iSeries)
* Experience in supporting and maintaining EDI systems
o The transition of EDI systems to next-generation environments (cloud based)
o Implementing and monitoring EDI systems, including data mapping, translation, and interfaces
o Develops, maintains, and tests EDI maps, related interfaces, and data communications scripts
o ANSI X12 standards
* Must be approachable and have excellent interpersonal skills both on the phone and in person.
* Ability to work independently, adapt easily and handle crisis situations.
* Be ambitious and strive for continuous improvement, both for the team, and personally.
* Socially confident, with strong influencing skills
* Methodical, analytical, and conscientious approach, particularly regarding customer service.
* Skilled in the production of functional and detailed design specification documents
* Excellent stakeholder management skills
* At ease working under pressure to cost and time deadlines

Desirable Criteria:
* Distribution & Supply Chain background
* Good understanding of the following business processes.
o OTC, P2P, Finance, Supply Chain and Logistics
* Familiarity with IBM i-based (AS400) ERP systems
* Experience in a support role that entails multiple technologies.
* Technical understanding of JSON and XML
* Good understanding of the integration with SAP SD, MM and FI and EDIFACT/XML standards
* Previous experience of the understanding of system-to-system integration using traditional EDI tools.
