Job Summary:
- The Aerospace Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Coordinator plays a crucial role in identifying implementing and sustaining process improvements within the aerospace manufacturing environment.
- This position involves analyzing existing processes identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions to enhance productivity reduce costs and improve overall operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Analysis:
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze data and metrics to determine process performance and efficiency.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance aerospace manufacturing processes.
- Lead crossfunctional teams in process improvement projects.
Lean Manufacturing Practices:
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste streamline processes and improve overall workflow efficiency.
- Train and mentor team members in Lean methodologies.
Root Cause Analysis:
- Investigate and identify the root causes of operational issues and inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Automation and Technology Integration:
- Explore opportunities for automation and technology integration to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Work with engineering teams to implement technological solutions.
DataDriven Decision Making:
- Utilize data analysis to drive decisionmaking and measure the success of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor process improvements.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including production quality and engineering to implement improvements seamlessly.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Document changes to processes procedures and workflows.
- Prepare regular reports on the progress and impact of continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field; additional certifications in Lean or Six Sigma are beneficial.
- Proven experience in continuous improvement within aerospace manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes materials and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
