Job Description

TITLE: Construction Quality Control Manager

DESCRIPTION: Manages quality control measures on the construction site; serves as a technical resource and subject matter expert; coordinates quality compliance in alignment with construction contract documentation to include written quality control plan specifications scope of work drawing plans etc.

  • Five 5 years experience in heavy civil construction management / oversight positions
  • USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors Course Certificate
  • BS degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (Required) or Construction Manager with P.E. in State of Texas
  • RMS experience with USACE projects
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal leadership and verbal / written communication skills are required
  • Internet savvy with competence in Microsoft Office applications; willingness to learn new software systems
  • Must have a valid U.S. drivers license pass a drug test and be able to pass a federal background investigation
  • Additional consideration will be given to applicants who have experience with government (USACE) construction contracts

Job Duties:

  • Work directly and closely with remote Project Manager daily
  • Develop & implement a Contract Specific Quality Control Plan
  • Develop project work plans and schedules; calculate time requirements and sequence project elements
  • Monitor construction activity to ensure work is progressing as scheduled adhering to contract specifications and budgets
  • Anticipate project conflicts communicate preventative actions plans and implement solutions to avoid issues
  • Interface with Superintendents Health & Safety Officer Operators Field Engineers Subcontractors Consultants and Owners/Clients
  • Prepare submittals and prepare master/monthly schedule updates
  • Develop and maintain appropriate electronic and hard copy reports and records
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
