Job Summary

Responsible for local followup on contract and project documentation resolving field issues for customers through field coordination and managing subcontractors client employees and consultants who may be executing work on the clients behalf. This entails constant interaction with the Client Engineering operations in Ohio. The job also creates information required by the Client to manufacture supply and install goods and systems for buildingspecific building maintenance and window cleaning systems. This role reports to the Client VP Engineering and is responsible for developing project deliverables for individual projects/job sites in collaboration with product management sales professionals industry consultants general contractors building representatives and building owners. It entails collaborating with internal engineering buying and manufacturing resources to develop the essential goods. The role demands technical product expertise as well as regular overnight travel. Communicates with the production team on manufacturing schedule and production difficulties that may develop with product designs.

Nature and Scope

This role has contact with a wide range of people and personalities. The primary responsibility of this role is to enable the clarification and fulfilling of the customers needs schedule and other project demands as well as assisting in the resolution of problems or disputes. Close partnerships between sales and other departments such as management engineering and manufacturing must be established and maintained. The role entails precisely defining the scope of specific projects integrating Client objectives with the expectations of customers employees and vendors keeping a good morale and discovering and resolving issues. This role also safeguards the Clients best interests while interacting with other persons and organizations.

Job Duties

  • Interact with architects construction project managers and building management representatives to create information for all stages of equipment installation projects including proposal creation construction document coordination installation and commissioning.Visit project locations to gather information needed to create the Operating Procedure Outline Sheet (OPOS).
  • Establish and convey project needs and requirements such as product definitions special product design specifications product quantities supplier lead times project timelines product due dates ship dates transportation methods and so on. (What When and Where)
  • On a daily/weekly basis maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress coordinating activities and resolving problems that arise.
  • Develops and issues progress reports as required by internal/external customers.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Develops design proposals specifications and manuals for specific projects and/or job sites and handles internal and external resolution of issues raised during the coordination process.
  • Generates required BOM cost models and cost estimates and fulfillment schedules for specific projects or job sites.
  • Familiar with Standard Construction Coordination Process principles including progress billing activities.
  • Develops schedule of values and tracks project progress to assure timely invoicing and financial performance of projects.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business or engineering is desired or equivalent Permanent Access Industry experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities as well as ethics and the ability to collaborate with others.
  • Conversant in MS Office Suite Acrobat and CAD/REVIT Viewing Software
  • Maintain a driving record that is acceptable to the clients insurance insurer.
  • Work environment.
  • Work consists of sedentary activities when driving and at the office as well as walking reaching and bending when visiting customers facilities or building project sites. Hours may be irregular.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and travel frequently.
